A dozen courts will be used over four different facilities, but the headliners of the third annual KYDA Invitational Saturday and Sunday will often be found on the University of Scranton’s main court inside the John Long Center.

The additional seating and space there will allow plenty of room for fans to be able to observe some of the top recruits in the country.

The top games in the first two years of KYDA packed thecourts at Riverfront Sports, which is hosting the event again this year throughTop Tier Events.

Jalen Duren, who averaged nine points and nine rebounds for the Detroit Pistons this season as a National Basketball Association rookie, was the center of attention during his games at the first KYDA Invitational. Others who appear to be on a similar path will be in action this weekend as part of some of the nation’s top AAU boys teams.

The KYDA Division features high-level 17U, 16U and 15U boys teams.

Riverfront Sports will still be the busiest place for games and the one with the greatest variety of action.

The three courts at Riverfront will be filled in time slots 1:05 apart with starting times from 8 a.m. to 6:50 p.m. Saturday and 9:05 a.m.to 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

All but one of the 11 age divisions will be represented at Riverfront Sports with the bulk of the games coming in the KYDA divisions, particularly through the middle of the day Saturday and throughout Sunday.

Courts 2, 3 and 4 at the University of Scranton – the courts in the Byron Complex adjacent to the Long Center – are nearly as busy, mostly with KYDA divisions for 17U, 16U and 15U boys teams.

Action begins on three courts at Clarks Summit University at 11:15 a.m. Saturday and continue through Sunday with most of the games in the younger age groups.

Lackawanna College will host games one at a time, also beginning at 11:15 a.m. Saturday.
